ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - ADMINISTRATION

The Diocese of Broken Bay stretches from Willoughby on Sydney's lower North Shore to Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast and up the Manly Peninsula and comprises 43 Schools (36 Catholic primary and 7 Catholic high schools) and approximately 16,000 students.

The Catholic Schools Office Broken Bay has recently completed an organisational review. We are seeking to further enhance the performance of an already highly performing school system. Within that context the Director of Schools is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director (Administration). The successful appointee will support the Director in providing strategic leadership to achieve mission, improve schools and build greater cohesion within the Diocesan Schools System and across related diocesan agencies.

Reporting to the Director of Schools, this role leads established, professional teams with accountability for a broad portfolio of services in the areas of: finance; human resources; ICT; audit and risk management; capital development and knowledge management.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:
• An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese;
• Experience in senior leadership and management, ideally across the varied aspects of corporate services;
• Capability of working within a service organisation;
• Capability of providing leadership at strategic and operational levels;
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
• Post graduate qualification – MBA or equivalent
