The Catholic Education Office, Sydney is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of the 147 primary and secondary systemic schools which educate about 64,000 students in the Archdiocese of Sydney. The Inner West Region comprises 10 secondary colleges within a geographic area bounded by Lewisham & Marrickville in the east, Lakemba in the south, Auburn in the west and north to Ryde & Eastwood.
Reporting to a Director, a Regional Consultant is a senior leadership role within the Catholic Education Office. The position is charged with the task of enhancing Catholic education through the growth and development of the schools within their cluster, while at the same time fostering and promoting a cohesive Archdiocesan school system.
The Executive Director of Catholic Schools invites applications from people with experience as a Secondary School Principal and who can demonstrate:
• Personal commitment to the teachings and practice of the Catholic Faith;
• A career in education incorporating leadership experience in more than one educational setting;
• Commitment to team building and collaborative leadership;
• An understanding of contemporary curriculum issues and good pedagogical practice;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
• Postgraduate qualifications, preferably in curriculum, leadership, theology, or religious education.
